Condensing Boilers
Condensing boilers are the most energy efficient Central
Heating boilers on the market today. They achieve this high
level of efficiency by removing the heat from the fuel it is
burning and also cooling the products of combustion, which
are normally wasted up the flue, so much so that the water
vapour in them turns into liquid. This happens at around
55°C. For a boiler to cool the flue products this much, it
has to have a larger, more efficient heat exchanger than
traditional boilers

Solar Panels
Known as “collectors”, Solar Panels can be fitted to a
building roof. Solar panels use the suns heat to warm water,
or another fluid, which passes through the panel. The fluid
is then fed to a hot water tank and helps to provide hot
water for central heating for the building. Solar panels
work throughout daylight hours, even if the sky is overcast
and there is no direct sunshine. Solar panels can provide
both space and water heating

Heat Pumps
Heat is widely available in the ground, air and water around
your house. TBEHe natural sources of heat are constantly
replenished by the sun. A heat pump system will harness free
and renewable energy sources for heating your house and
supplying hot water at a very low cost. The role of the heat
pump is to ‘pump up’ heat from a low temperature source, for
example the ground under your lawn and release it at a
higher temperature into your central heating system

Biomass Boilers
Modern woodchip and pellet boilers retrieve the wood fuel
automatically from the storage area and burn it, which meets
high environmental standards. Modern boilers use 90% of the
energy contained in the wood for heating, ensuring a very
high efficiency, similar to that of a good oil and gas
boiler. Selecting the right capacity for the boiler is very
important if its operation is to be economical and trouble
free. A-Rated Energy can help you in this process
